报告人简介

  Dr. Taishi Katsuragawa received his Ph.D. from Nagoya University in 2017. After working in postdoctoral research positions at Kobayashi-Maskawa Institute and Central China Normal University, he joined in Institute of Astrophysics of Central China Normal University as a faculty member. His research interests are applications of modified gravity theory to the dark energy and dark matter from viewpoints of cosmology and astrophysics.


报告简介

  F(R) gravity theory, one of the modified gravity theories, predicts a new fundamental scalar field called scalaron. The scalaron field can be the origin of dark energy to explain the accelerated expansion of the current Universe. The scalaron field has a unique feature, the chameleon mechanism, and its applications to the early Universe have received much attention in recent years. Through the chameleon mechanism, the dynamics of matter fields affect the scalaron dynamics, which could influence the standard cosmic history and observables. This talk will briefly introduce the F(R) gravity theory and discuss the scalaron dynamics in the early Universe.
