报告人简介

  Professor Xiaojun Wang received his Bachelor’s degree from Jilin University, Master’s from Chinese Academy of Sciences and Florida Institute of Technology, and PhD in Physics from The University of Georgia, USA. He worked as a Postdoctoral Associate at Oklahoma State University (1992-93) and an NIH Postdoctoral Fellow at UC-Irvine (1993-95). He has been a Professor of Physics at Georgia Southern University, USA, since 1995. Prof Wang is a Fellow of American Physical Society.


报告摘要

  In this talk, we will introduce persistent luminescence from UV to visible to infrared based on persistent energy transfer and upconversion charging approaches. We will further discuss the mechanism and dynamical processes of the energy transfer and upconversion charging. The study may provide a unique strategy of the synthesis, characterization and application of persistent phosphors.
