报告题目:Measurements of WH and ZH production in the H-》bb decay channel in pp collisions at 13 TeV with the ATLAS detector

报告摘要:

Two years ago, the Higgs boson was observed decaying to a pair of beauty-quarks (H→bb), moving its study from the “discovery era” to the “measurement era”. By measuring the properties of the Higgs boson and comparing them to theoretical predictions, physicists can better understand this unique particle and, in the process, search for deviations from predictions that would point to new physics processes beyond our current understanding of particle physics. In the talk presented today, I will show the results from the updated measurement of H -》bb with full LHC Run 2 dataset collected by ATLAS detector, where the Higgs boson is produced in association with a vector boson (W or Z). A new version of the analysis designed to probe the Higgs boson when it is produced with very large transverse momenta will also be discussed in this talk.

 

报告人简介:

Yanhui was born at Dezhou, Shandong province, went to the Shandong University in 2009 and received his B.S. degree in physics in 2013. Yanhui then attended the Ph.D. program at Shandong University (advisor: Lianliang Ma), and has been working on the ATLAS experiment since then. Yanhui got a scholarship and stayed at L.A.L Orsay lab for two years (2016-2018) as a joint Ph.D. student (advisor: Marumi Kado; Jean-Francois Grivaz;). After receiving his Ph.D. degree in June 2019, Yanhui started as a Postdoctoral fellow at University College London.
