报告题目:Some precision calculations in particle physics

报告摘要:
Steady progress in physics relies on precise measurements and accurate theoretical calculations. In particle physics Standard Model have made huge success after the higgs boson which is the last missing particle of its predictions was discovered in 2012. Now experiments have moved to the phase of precision measurements from discovery. So in order to improve the understanding of nature, theoretical uncertainties have to match the accuracy of the experiments. In this talk through some concrete physical projects which I have worked on, e.g., muon g-2 at four loops, nonfactorizable effects for higgs production via VBF and high-energy limit of mass-suppressed amplitudes, multi-loop calculations of Feynman integrals and the all-order resummation of double logarithmic corrections for precision evaluations will be discussed briefly.
报告人简介:
刘涛,中国科学院高能物理研究所副研究员。07年毕业于吉林大学应用物理系,12年于中科院理论物理所获得博士学位。博士毕业后分别在德国卡尔斯鲁厄理工学院和加拿大阿尔伯特大学从事博士后研究,19年底回国加入高能所理论室。主要研究方向是粒子物理精确计算与超出标准模型的新物理,在四圈反常磁矩、质量压低对数项的重求和以及LHC上VBF产生Higgs过程的高阶效应等方面做过一些工作,曾获得国家海外高层次青年人才项目与中科院海外人才项目的资助。
